InDesign Advanced Training...

As design needs become more company specific then obviously so do company training needs so we thought you might like an insight into some of the bespoke Adobe Training Courses we run.  This particular week it was a requirement for Bespoke InDesign Advanced Training with tailored content run onsite in the Midlands.  In essence the client wanted to utilise and upskill their own design team enabling them to have control over all their long documents instead of laboriously updating page by page.

Already power users working with Illustrator and Photoshop they wanted to expand on InDesigns Advanced features to produce their brochures and catalogues.  These were very thick and graphic intensive and without structure cumbersome to work with.  So this InDesign Advanced Training Course focused heavily on showing how to bring various files together under InDesign's Book Panel by combining Styles, Section Breaks, Table of Contents and Indexing so streamlining and automating the process.  One thing they particularly found useful was working with Multiple Masters, Section Breaking and Automatic Page Numbering which allowed them to break up the multiple sections of their catalogues and updating sections and page numbers automatically.

Whilst booking their bespoke Advanced InDesign Course with us they also mentioned that they were interested in getting their marketing material on digital devices, the sales team wanted to take these out on the road to show clients exactly what the company was about.  So we also included elements from our InDesign Interactive Course into the training and showed how to work with alternative layouts, interactions such as multi-media, 3D Panoramas, linking, transitions etc.
