Its great going back to see our clients again and shortly before Christmas Greta returned to Bolton to see the lovely Sarah Palin, a Designer who uses Illustrator for most of her work.  Which is very beautiful - this time the Illustrator Training was in the form of a workshop.  She found that her computer was slowing down under the file sizes and also that she might possibly not be using the most effective workflow.

It was a productive day although it really should have been called an Illustrator and Photoshop Fashion workshop as using Photoshop she built new work practices and methods to design, edit and scale patterns.

Ilustrator is the first choice of a lot of fashion designers because it is easy to work with and provides the tools needed for precise placement and duplication.  In this example the grids and guides have been used to get perfect placement then reflected and duplicated.  Each panel has then been coloured.
